According to those close to both films, Dhanush’s film had filmed most of its major segments on the specially constructed set but dropped it after schedule changes. Rather than letting it lie vacant, the actor happily gave it away to JanaNayagan’s crew, which required a regal setting for a pivotal song shoot.
Now, the gesture has become touted as a gracious gesture of professional respect and courtesy between two of Tamil cinema’s most prominent stars. Although they have yet to share screens, fans have long marveled at the unspoken admiration between Dhanush and Vijay. This incident sets hopes high that the two stars will share screens at some point in time.
The elaborate setting, which cost over ₹4.5 crore, appears to be a modern-day urban location, erected with diligent detailing, lighting rigs, and stage extensions — perfect for a high-cost mass number. Vijay’s crew are said to have completed their shoot recently and have done a fantastic job of utilizing the space.
