Tamil cinema’s Popular supporting actor King Kong, who started his Tamil film life with Adhisaya Piravi, recently hosted a majestic wedding reception for his daughter at Chennai. Organized on 10th July 2025, at the MPK Mahal, Ashok Pillar, the wedding got all near and dear family members, friends, and co-actors of the film industry together — yet, left the veteran actor somewhat disappointed.
King Kong, a familiar name in Tamil film circles ever since the ’90s, emerged as a major name for his humorous performances as well as cameo roles. He has acted in over 300 films, spread over five languages, and shared the screen space with all-time favorites like Vivek, Vadivelu, Goundamani, and Senthil. Well-known for his spirited performances as much as having a separate screen persona, King Kong has been the favorite name all the way through the Kollywood humor circuits.
Off the screen, he is a family man. He married Kala, and the couple has two daughters. His older daughter married with full fanfare, and he did not spare any effort to make the occasion a very memorable event. According to sources, the wedding was a love wedding, and the bride, according to reports, happens to be a big fan of actor Sivakarthikeyan.
In reality, the family had already set their expectations for Sivakarthikeyan to attend the wedding, seeing the fondness the bride has for the star. Unfortunately, the actor did not attend. Speaking with media personnel, King Kong revealed.
“We were eagerly expecting Sivakarthikeyan’s presence. My daughter is a big fan of his. It was a bit disheartening that he couldn’t make it.”
